what do you do if your cd burner stops working?

like we had then like something happened to it then he had to go back an rebuild an now im trying to burn a cd an it says there is no cd burner

means you have to get it fixed ,or replaced,but check it well ,the fault could lie with the power source component

Go to the device manager, tic DVD/CD-ROM Drives and right tic on the offending drive(s), select "uninstall" and restart the computer. This reloads the drivers, which sometimes become corrupt.
