how do you have a wedding on The Sims 2?

Question

two of my sims are engaged, but i cant figure out how to have the wedding. how do i?

(both their daily and lifelong relationship bars are at 100, so that has nothing to do with it)

i clicked on "throw a party" and they didnt have it. i have University, and all it said was "greek party" "Sports Party" and something else i dont remember, but it wasnt wedding. and where can i get the decorations? i didnt see them in the buy catalog.

First phone up and throw a wedding party (if you want guests).

Then you need to go into Buy mode---misc section then party stuff section and buy a floral wedding arch. Click on the arch and then choose 'get married' :-) They will change into their wedding clothes (you can downlaod a hack that will have them change into formal if you want), the guests will gather and there you have it.
To elaborate the ceremony you can buy a wedding cake for them to cut and champagne for the toast.
As the above user said, you cant get married if they are young adults, you need to age them to adulthood.

use the phone to throw a party it will let u choose which kind of party...i think and make sure u put the decorations out like the WEDDING cake, the buffet table and that pretty little arch thingy

You can either tell one of the two sims to propose->marriage, or you can buy a wedding alter in the misc section and click on it with one of the lovers active and tell them to get married.

If they're in college, they can't get married.
