I accidentally deleted some files using a photo editing software. I have downloaded several recovery software programs, but I can't get any of them to work for me. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am getting desperate and would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks.

Is there a way to send a file that needs to be printed to another computer so that computer can then print it through a home phone line??? or will i just have to e-mail the files to my other computer?

I've had it for only 3 months and usually it does beautifully, but an hour ago it froze. Just froze. The clock doesn't update, I can't move the cursor, the entire operating system (Mac OSX Tiger) froze. The screen hasn't even dimmed in the whole hour I've just let it sit. I've already tried all the keyboard commands for a forced shut-down and restart and all that jazz with no luck.

I was browsing the internet when it shut down, just normal stuff, nothing requiring any work on its behalf. Right now the only thing I can think of doing is waiting a couple hours for the battery to die.

How can I fix it?

I have a new laptop with 1 gig memory. However, my desktop is approximately 5 years old with only 128 MB. I would like to add 512MB. Is this an expensive endeavor? Can a novice like me install the card? Is the card universal or do I need to order from the comapny (Gateway) of which I made the purchase? Any suggestions?

Alright, say I have 20 still photos, and a few videos in WMM.. I have a 5 minute mp3 song playing, which is cool during the still photo slideshow style thing, but I want to drop the volume of the song when the actual videos come up, so I can hear the audio of the video I shot...

It seems I can only change the volume balance of the two audio tracks for the WHOLE movie, not just the little clips.....

I run windows xp with service pack 2 and just installed a USB 2.0 pci card. Under the device manager everything checks out (drive is correct and device is working properly), but when I plug in a usb device (my camera or gig memory stick) the only thing that happens is my computer freezes.

What is the problem? How do i resolve it?

ok im tryin to send my friend a copy of the grudge 1 cuz she wants to see 2 but shes never seen one..so i ripped a copy of the movie offa my dvd of the grudge,a nd i have it on my comp and its about 500 MB, now..does anybody noe what ***cough***(free)email service would let me attach a file this big to an email to send to her, yahoo only lets me attach files up to 10 MB..i tried Gmail but it keeps sayin theres an error..i suppose that means the file is too big...
