Bill is correct. A VNC (Virtual Network Computer) software is your best and most practical solution. I use it to maintain, and monitor my kids computers (13 in all). Set the server on the remote computers and the client on your computer. Enter the remote computer's LAN IP and you are connected. When you place your mouse cursor over the window you will have **** control of the remote computer. You can also do this to work on computers over the internet.
I have a seperate computer set up will all my computer connected via RealVNC. all I have to do is click the tab of the computer I want to check on.
