My computer has a DVD burning drive but there apears to be no software to let me use it. Can I just use media player or realplayer or do I need a diffrent program. If so does anyone know where I can download a Program to assist me?

The best way to burn a DVD is with fire, but why buy it in the first place if you are going to burn it.

No, WMP doesn't burn DVDs. Get Nero.

You should be able to use Media Player.

Yes use NERO It's great and simple to use.
