I have this Dell scanner/printer/fax machine you see but I just wanna learn how to use the scanner. I want to scan pics so that i can show it to my friends. Um, anybody know how to do that? Anybody?

Im assuming that a sound card goes into pci slot and is automatically used instead of mobo built in sound. I want better wound and speakers but doent feel it is so important I need to spend a fortune on it. What should I be looking for? Can I get fairly decent speakers for under $25? I dont need surround sound just 2 speakers - - prefer one actually. Any suggestions on card and speakers?

there is something wrong with my mouse. when i try to move right, it does not work. moving up,down, and left works but it won't move left!and moving sideways works sometimes.what do you think is wrong?

we took some video of our band and converted them to disc and then to DVD but we lost the originals that were in .avi/.mpg format! and i need to make more copies for promotional use! i used anyDVD to decrypt and i have clonedvd2 but i would rather convert them so i can import to windows movie maker so i can do some video editing and clean them up and also shorten them ! im not really sure windows mm is the program i need to do that either! either way id like to convert the files back so i can store them but any editing tips or fav programs that you all know of would be greatly appreciated! i dont wanna spend a bunch of money on a program that will give me headaches: otherwise ill just take the discs to someone and have it done!! all at yahoo answers have been great to us and i extend a thank you in advance for the help!!!

My computer recently started to reboot itself. You can be using the computer at the time or it could be idle, when it suddenly goes off for a split second, then comes back on and sets itself up again.
Sometimes, it will do this as many as 6 times in a few minutes, rebooting itself before it has even had a chance to set up, other times it will be fine for a few hours and then do it.
I have run all my virus scans, error fixers etc and all find nothing wrong.
Apart from this problem, the computer is working fine.
As you can imagine, it is very annoying when you are in the middle of something and it goes off and you lose what you were working on....
Any ideas what it could be or how to solve it???

when i add music and increase the volume it becomes staticy, i lower the volumne and it's gone, but then there are some music where its on the original volumne and its still crackling and also the audio from the video too sometimes. i used a DVD Camcorder, imported the clip onto my computer, i did not capture from premiere

My computer burned out a year and a half ago, and i'm finally getting around to putting it back together. The video card is still good, and i need the drivers for it. Problem is, I forgot what kind of card it is. I'm pretty sure its a Verto, but thats the end of what i remember.

I've looked over the card pretty well to try to find something to tell me what it is, but have been unable to do so. Does anyone know of another method of finding out what kind of card it is? or is there something i can search for on the PNY website, maybe?

I want to transfer my avi files to a dvd-rw. How do I do it, and are dvd-rw cds playble in dvd players or are some dvd players that don't play dvd-rw? If so how do you find out if your dvd player plays dvd-rw cds? Oh yeah and I have this program called nero.

What do I need to know for purchasing a laptop. I surf the internet mostly. Play games at pogo, ect. I have my favorites, also have a digital camera that uses floppy disk. Can I add a floppy attachment to this laptop. Also my isp is cable, is this a problem. Will I need to buy anything for this type of connection? (it's the same as my tv cable).
