this thing won't enable. Also i have a red shield saying my virus protection is off, but when i try to turn it "on" there is no button for "on" and just says "recommendations". help

I have a laptop for work with a lot of important files on there. The laptop just crashed the other day and I can not get it to boot windows. All it will do is go to the menu where it gives me the option to start in "Safe mode" "last good configuration""normal" etc.I can not get passed that screen. However, I have another computer (desktop). Is there a way I can get files off the laptop onto my desktop? That way after I'm done I can reformat my laptops hard drive all the while saving the files I need?

I bought an ipod a month ago.
I just used it today.
I get a blank screen and i cant turn it on
i was able to for a minute and when i did i got the website

i have no songs on it and its a nano

if that matters

I have to down load attachments to see them and sometimes cannot get them at all.. Is this normal? using msn all I had to do was click on the word attchment and it came right up why is yahoo so complicated?

I need to create an email address that has a different format and domain than what our office would normally use. Here is the current format "first.last@blah.com" ... but here is what I want to change this to "firstlast@blahblah.com" for a single user. One of the IT people is telling me this is impossible. I really think that changing a single user's username and domain is not impossible? Please help as I am trying to respect the IT dept and my bosses odd request. HELP!

I disconnected from talk talk broadband in April/May this year. I eventually got a mac code from them and transferred to Pipex but every month since then they have sent me an accumulating bill for broadband. Every month I spend a hour on the phone with them and they always tell me the situation is resolved but I keep getting the bills. Can anyone recommend what I need to do to stop his harassment ?

I used the Resume Wizard in Microsoft Word 2003 to create a resume however, the resume is 1 and 1/2 pages long. I need it to fit on one page. I have looked on other posts, and have tried the Print Preview, Shrink to Fit, but it says after several attempts Microsoft Word was unable to shrink the document??!! What can I do?

I'm trying to create a popout portion to a vertical menu i already have on a webpage. I used a DL formated menu. I would like to make it so when you hover over some of the menu items a popout coming out to the side. I've seen this done with UL lits but never with a DL menu. Does anyone know how to do this or if it can even be done?
