I don't know anything about HTML and I am trying to set up my myspace webpage with colors and pictures. Does anyone have suggestions that are comprehendable for someone with little computer knowledge?

Two weeks ago my USB ports worked fine, my ipod worked, as did my thumbstyle flash drives. then suddenly when i use either of those two devices, it says windows doesnt recognize the device. But, my printer still works through my usb port. Then, a couple of days ago, one day after watching a dvd on my computer, whenever i try to read a dvd or data dvd, it says i have an I/O error. Whats going on?
