312= area code
123= prefix

dail 0 & ask the operator what city has the area code 312

then dail 411 and ask for that city's phone company

dail the phone company & ask what area has that prefix (ex. they might say it's a downtown # or a westside

now your have a general search area.

hope this helps :)

www.whitepages.com
Put the phone number in the reverse lookup. Sometimes the number will come up. If you have an idea of who it might be you can go to www.zabbasearch.com Unlisted phone numbers show up in there.

If you already have the phone number and are trying to find out who the number belongs to...you can go to www.whitepages.com and do a reverse number lookup, it may tell you who the phone is registered to and their home address.
