Computer B - Intel® Viiv™ technology - Intel® Pentium® D 945 DualCore(3.40GHz,800MHz,2x2MBcache), 256MB nVidia™ GeForce™ 7900GS graphics card

I am looking for the best performer but im not sure which might work better. I will be using computer for gaming, working for univeristy things (coursework) and internet and other things. They both are the same price but dont know which is best.

HELP!!!

One of Symantec's support sites tells me I need to uninstall and reinstall my Norton Internet Security 2006 - making use of their uninstall utilities. There are a couple of them and NEITHER work, - whether run online or downloaded to my computer. I keep getting errors with them and am constantly asked to send an error message to Microsoft (very irritating).

Does anyone know where I can find instructions to do it the "manual" way? I've wasted enough time trying to uninstall this piece of Symantec sh_t.

I have found instructions for previous years, but I need the 2006 version. I am comfortable in editing registries etc. so don't worry about those warnings.

I am running Windows XP on a laptop, and now, all of a sudden, my computer will launch 15-20 windows of whatever browser is installed as my default. It's happened with IE 6 and Firefox. I've run a spyware check (SpyBot), and it'll pick up a bunch of tracking cookies, I'll erase them, and they'll pop back up again. Other antispyware programs won't pick them up. AVG and Antivir don't pick up any viruses. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to reformat and reinstall.

From what I've read, the vast majority of these questions can be answered with a quick web search or by using Wikipedia. Also, the answers are rarely of any real insight. What really bugs me is when Yahoo! puts these things right next to real news stories without any way of telling the difference between them until you've already clicked the link.
