I can't find what I should put in the SMTP box thing, so at the moment all I can do is recieve messages.

I've already tried the website to no avail and I know where to put it just not what to put. The pop3 one was mail.coventry.ac.uk i was wondering if the other one was similar?

It's under Tools menu, e-mail accounts.

FOLLOW-UP:
Occasionaly, the POP3 (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) server names will be the same, but it's not typical. Most of the time, you will have something like smtp.coventry.ac.uk, but only the network admin or support desk can tell you for certain.

Why?

Get Pegasus or Eudora. They are secure, while LookOut! (it's going to crash!) isn't secure. They're also easier to set up as all well made software is.

try going into the properties of the account and writing down the configuration. more than likely it will be smtp.mail. email account. or you may need to put the server name in the in and out box. need more info to help you

contact your university's tech department to get the settings. Their website might have the information you are looking for. So try it.
