In order for you to get email using your domain name you need to have a mail server registered within the domain. Many domain registration sites provide for this.

First you need to create a new A record with in your DNS. This A record should be pointing to your regular domain. Then you need to set up an MX record in your DNS that MX record need to point to your previously made A record. An example would be A record mydomain.com at server( ip). An mx record will look like this mail.mydomain.com server( mydomain.com). There are a lot of documents out there about setting MX records. Also do notice that most DNS changes take at least 24 hours to seep through to the Internet.
