i have used 3.1, 4.2, 5.1, 7.1, and 8, and i think that 5.1 is the most solid, anyone else think version 7.1 is a bit buggy? is there a way to roll it back when you have the standalone version?

i've sent hundreds of error reports to microsoft in over ten years of working on computers and have yet to receive any information to the reports sent ,no let me correct that MICROSOFT has sent me back a response telling me that it has no answer as to why such an event happened on my computer even though most of the reports are at their prompting for much the of the same events?

There is a particular company, that I can't get through to. Every email address I send to....get returned. Finally, in the contact us section, there is one click-insert-box that doesn't seem to work.
I'll describe the box as follows:::::
On the left side it asks for what are you interested in:
and in the middle of the page, so to speak, is a little box, half of it is blank and the other part has an arrow pointing downward.
Now , when I click on the arrow, I presume that a drop-down list of products or whatever appears, but no such thing happens.
When I click on the arrow, the box stays as is.

If some wonderful person out there has any answer or thoughts, please respond.

I use the system Skype for internet telephone calls but have a problem whereby it constantly seems to "drop" the call after around 15 minutes. Those of you who use the system will know what I mean. Does anybody have any uideas as to why this is and how it can be resolved?

I'd like something that is relatively simple to use and doesn't cost a fortune. Maybe under $250 is fine. There seem to be so many programs out there all claiming to do the same thing. So, I'd appreciate some good suggestions.

sofar im not real happy with XP..a friend talked me into using his disk which was used already{dang}so my 2000 pro is gone but this XP seems to be slower is that because my LT is not built for it or is it an adjustment i can make i just havent done?first computer so i dont really know...i just know its not better as is...please give recomendations as to whether i can make XP workable or if im better off with what the computer came with

The email basically said this:

"Unusual account activity has made it necessary to limit sensitive account features until additional verification information can be collected.
We have been notified that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen, or that there were additional problems with your card.
If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to temporary suspend your account."


The bad thing is I don't recall ever creating a penpal account, and if I did, it was a long time ago and I've never used it!! Should I ignore it and delete it? what should I do?

I have the hard drive from my not so old computer and I'd like to put it in this one, can I do it?
It will need to be formatted to this operating system, do I need anything special to do this? Is there any programs on line I can down load to assist?
I understand I have to make it a "slave" to the master.

When I go to my 360 page and open my mailbox,after viewing the first six friends and messages,when I try to click "next" on the bottom of the page ,my pointer will not show(the little pointing hand),nor click.This did not happen before "the changes" being made.I think it has to do with the text being black,as on most other pages it is blue or red or if it is black,it turns color when the pointer is on it .I've asked Yahoo for help with no luck.Anyone else with this problem?It's quite frustrating.

I have a Dell Inspiron & I like it O.K., but I have an HP PSC printer & as weird as it may sound I would prefer my office equipment to be the same brand. I'm that way with our t.v. & such also.

My computer's speed has decreased greatly from when I first got it. It has been a few years since I purchased it, but it has only been slow for about a month and a half. I'm not sure if its spyware or virus, I doubt it as I have AVG, AD-AWARE, AVAST, SYGATE FIREWALL, SPYCATCHER, BAZOOKA SCANNER, SPYBOT, and a few others so what is slowing my computer down?
