i've sent hundreds of error reports to microsoft in over ten years of working on computers and have yet to receive any information to the reports sent ,no let me correct that MICROSOFT has sent me back a response telling me that it has no answer as to why such an event happened on my computer even though most of the reports are at their prompting for much the of the same events?

They are just gathering data so that they can make patches for Windows. If they were to personally reply to each error, they would go out of business just with the labor costs.

The lights are on but nobody is home...

Microsoft only studies the errors that pertain to their software and I think they probably forward other errors to the other software companies.. if the other company does nothing.. you will get no information...

If there is a fix for your particular error then you will get an info box telling you a link to visit in order to fix it.

I understand your frustration, often times those errors come at the most inopportune moment.

I gather that they collect all the errors and then try to figure out a pattern or method to the madness. if, for example, they get 10,000 errors a day about explorer.exe trying to read to some funky address, then they'll try to replicate the problem and if they find it, they'll make a patch.

But if they are getting just random errors with no discernable patterns, there is not much they can do but say TOUGH LUCK but thanks for buying our software.
