Do you mean a windows start up disk.

For windows XP You will either need a separate partition on your hard drive or you can use a external USB drive or a CD/DVD burner.

Start - Programs Accessories - System tools - backup
Select backup files and setting and click on next
On the next screen select the third option "all information on this computer" click next.
Follow the instructions and Hey presto a recovery disk

Hope this helps

There are other utilities that you can use eg powerquests Drive image and Acronis. I personally use drive image 7 as it is very quick when backing up and restoring.

If you have a cd/dvd writer you can make a full system back up of the whole system by using Nero Back it up this will make you a series of cd/dvds you can use these to restore your system as the first disk is bootable at start up this restores the computer to its orignal install plus any other programs ect on the drive rewritable disks are the best for this as they can be updated easily if any thing changes on the system youi do not need your serial number as this will only restore to the machine it was saved from you also do not need to reformat the drive the disks reinstall to the same partition on the hard drive You will need about 200 floppy dis to back up to floppy

spend the whole day and the whole night on the pc.

Windows now requires nearly 10 Gig of harddiskspace, so
how would you get all those floppy disks at 1.4 MB ??

I assume you are joking.
