I just installed a program from the applications - system tools - Package manager list. Now how do I find the program to run it?

I Think im hacked or something, when i navigate on my workgroup, there are other computers connected which i swear i dont know them, how can i get rid of this workgroup that i didnt know who might be connect through my PC.

In excell: I have a series of numbers... that wont change
I want to see if these numbers are in various cells.
example:
1,5,8 I want to see if any of these are in cells A1 thru G1

Would I do lookup or what?

This has happened way too much. What do you do when you misinterpret or say something that you meant, but in a different way. I don't like language barriers. How do I overcome this? Even going from state to state, the way people talk is different. HELP!

i bougth this laptop a few days ago and you know that when it reaches a router you can connect to that router and use internet, but, my dad's router is locked, and i lost the paper that had the code to unlock it so is there a way to find the code without those papers lets say trough the computer is connected to?

I got a 2wire modem from SBC to set up a wireless network between to desktop computers and then they that my computer that the modem is connected to doesnt have a wireless adaptor, so i needed to get one. well at wal-mart we told them we needed a wireless adaptor and they told us a wireless router would work as well. well i got it and i dont know what to do, can anyone help me on this?

I am not doing anything I shouldn't be, but at the same time, I assert my independence and don't "give in" to his gross insecurities by spending the number of hours a day it would require to stroke his ego and assure him he's the only one. I equate that with giving an alcoholic a beer.

Anyway, I am very curious to see if his insecurities have manifested themselves in my husband actually SPYING on me.

Problem is, I don't know anything about computers (but I'm not an idiot) and so wouldn't know what to look for, or where.

Can you help me? I'm interested in both whether he can monitor me on the Internet and if he can track my actions on the computer itself.

I had to buy another laptop when my girlfriend broke the LCD screen on my last one. I need my files and programs from broken the laptop. Is there a program or service where I can do this? Local companies want to charge anywhere from $65 to $150 for the service. Can I do it myself for cheaper?

Okay, I am still trying to figure this one out.

I have downloaded DVD Shrink and also DVD Decrypter in an attempt to rip my dvd's onto my pc for backup. Managed to rip one, but it doesn't actually play. It's saved to the harddrive and only opens as the video and audio files - it will not play in WinAmp, Windows Media, etc. The drive is a DVD-RW so it should rip my dvd's onto my pc.

What am I missing?

I'm talking about using a computer to create facial images that look like people. But they
aren't faces of real people that have lived. Only computer generated facial images of people. Can this be done? And what is the process called.

I tried Word and it moves the pictures. Publisher 2002 does the same thing. I want it to look professional and keep the text to the left of the picture but it moves the picture to the left margin.
