I have 2 cameras and an mp3 player that connect to my computer with USB. I can't get any of them to work when I connect. I bought a new cord so it's not the cord.

I have an HP Visualize machine Pentium III. It started by hanging when you use it like for an hour. Later it reduced to 15-30 minutes and right now it hangs when it is just starting. What can I do? Any I deas. Thnaks for your support
