I have 2 cameras and an mp3 player that connect to my computer with USB. I can't get any of them to work when I connect. I bought a new cord so it's not the cord.

Try plugging the devices in on another PC. If they all work fine your USB ports are shot. If you have a USB card (an add on card, not the ones on the motherboard), make sure the card is seated completely in the slot and not sticking up at all.

Unplug, and then plug in, the USB devices.

You are on a hub, right? check the hub. Do you have a USB PSU (power supply unit)? Most computers only provide 200 ma of power, and the daisey chain fails when too many things are plugged into it! Most folks know this, and run a USB Hub with external wall wart PSU.

Do you have Uhci and OHci invoked in CMOS Setup, or in the Component Panels in your OS?

Does it work when the computer is booted from the FREE and live CDrom http://pclinuxos.com ???

You would first have to provide info on it! Does your system see that something has been plugged in to begin with? If not, your usb mobo drivers need to be installed. If so, read the manuals on the usb devices!

go in to your computers bios settings and check there Also control panel system devices and see if it's displays your USB ports check properties to see if they are recognized and working.

Could it be that you are trying to hook up hi-speed usb with usb 1.1 ports?
