alright , whenever u encounter a virus which cannot be deleted the only thing u can do is system restore ( this if you are using windows xp) . click on star , then look for help and support , click on help and support , read and look for system restore and the fallow the steps . this will take your computer back on time just as if u had never been infected . windows xp might ask u if u want to delete a dangerous virus from the past , delete it .
another thing which u need to do is getting and anti spyware and run a full scan whit it , it may be enough to erase the virus but if it doesn't u will have the advantage once u restore the system ( anti spyware usually isn't able to destroy spies or viruses once they already running on the system ) .

first of all there are so many viruses some are in category as being a threat some are not . most time when a scanner can not remove it or disinfect it means you have the program open or its just in your files. best way is to get the name of the file its in track it down delete it unless its a dll. file than you would need to get a regestry cleaner program there are so many out best one ive used is ewido which is trial and also cleans well. takes a while ,also not all virus scanners are accurate so make sure its not like in a p2p program are something you normally use these scanners have a habit picking up stuff that are not viruses. but to be on safe side run ewido very good program. hope this helps .

First off , are you running XP? second, What is the name of the virus? Third, what virus scanner are you using? All of the above info is needed to help you.
I use Norton and have it set to update on its own. Norton has an exellent help section on line that will walk you through manually deleting some of the meaner virus'. Again, I don't know what you are using, or what ,if any , support it provides.
It could be that there are programs or windows services running in the background that are interfering with the deletion process.
There ARE ways to remove it. Feel free to E-mail me whith the info I listed and I'll try to help you,or at least point you to the correct help. c_reddish22155@yahoo.com

If you can find a way of un-archiving the file you might be able to disinfect it. Otherwise replace the file with a clean copy.

Find this file on your hard drive and delete. The virus scan should at least quarantine this virus. Why don't you download AVG Virus from www.100downloads.com
This is one of the best free virus downloads on the market. It will find the virus and put in in 'vault'.

I would Google the name of the virus and find out more about it, Sabrina, to see if it's something you should actually worry about. If you think you've only recently picked it up, Windows has a function called 'System Restore', which will restore your computer to an earlier state. Good luck!

Of course you have some virus1 Why do you think the 150,000 virus, spyware, malware, trojans, are called "Microsoft Virus Definitions"?
Why do YOU think Microsoft.com, MSN.com, Hotmail.com, the entire Redmond Labs, and campus, and routers, all run on 45,000+ LINUX computers?
Not just for the 50X speed up of all games and programs!
Nope, because Linux is virus free, and always will be.
Test it for yourself! http://pcllinuxos.com
