This has happened way too much. What do you do when you misinterpret or say something that you meant, but in a different way. I don't like language barriers. How do I overcome this? Even going from state to state, the way people talk is different. HELP!

apologize, its only a mistake when you do it twice.

Same as you would do anywhere else: apologize. Explain that you mis-understood, take responsibility for your part of it, and chances are good you will be forgiven. If not, move on, determined to be more careful in the future.

That's why it's so nice that Answers gives us a preview screen, a chance to read it back and be sure of what we are saying. It is an excellent practice to always review what you have said before you "click the send button," in whatever form.

that's actually very possible, especially that we dont live in one area and we dont speak with one dialect... but if in case language barriers happen or misunderstandings arise, the best thing you can do is to explain to him/her what you really mean...
and be careful of the words that you will be using.. that can also create 'confusion'.. =)

i agree with the others, but you know communication is not all of what you say it is mostly of what you dont say and how you go about it.
