OS: Windows XP
I opened a file in Quicktime but It just showed a blank screen with the little progess meter moving, and then a pop-up screen came up that said "Unable to download the software needed to play this file."
So I decided to try to install and then re-install Quicktime. Well, when I went on the Add/Remove Programs list and clicked on Quicktime Player to remove it, a pop-up message came up that said "The Following File Does Not Exist Or Is Not A Vaild Uninstallation File" C:\Windows\System32\Quicktime\Uninstall.log
Do you have any suggestions on how I could solve this problem?

I'm trying to put a song together I have the mp3 2 files that I want as the beat behind the lyrics, they were just sent to me but I want to find software that I can open the file with and fasten them up or slow them down AND merge them to make them into one tune so the backing beat has my own style not two different backing tracks playing at different time while im practicing. I know you're gonna say go to a prof. studio but I really haven't got the money or equipment, I'm still in school but saving up so when I leave I have demo's to pass around ( education comes first!) even if they are low budget,home produced and do turn out awful ( its worth a try!) but has anyone got any suggestions of any software I can use to carry out this task?

All has worked well so far (only had computer couple of months). McAfee always no prob but now seems to have run into trouble - do I need to subscribe? it came free when I got comp. Dont seem to be able to get through on customer service? Any help?

2 Days ago i was on the computer and Mcafee Personal Firewall Plus came on saying it blocked an intrusion attempt. I clicked to trace the ip address and it said it was some guy in Amsterdam and gave a name. Later, it popped up again, and this time it traced to Mountain View California and said it was from Google! Why would Google be trying to hack me? Later it did it again but i accidently clicked ok, so i did not get to trace it. Yesterday, i was working, some guy made another attempt. It was somewhere in Asia, i cant remember. Later, it came again and said that it was some Puerto Rico cable service's abuse department. Later still, it came on and said it was Comcast cable. This is strange because before the above incidents, i had never had a hacking attempt before, and suddenly there is a whole bunch. What should i do. Im worried about why people from a company's Abuse department would attempt to hack me, and why Google and Comcast would. Pls give some advice.
