Insert the Windows 2000 CD and reboot. If your computer does not reboot off the CD Drive, then go into the BIOS SETUP and change the boot order. (Many machines use F2 and others use DEL to get into BIOS).

When the Windows 2000 CD starts up, you want to pick the option to DELETE the existing partition. Then pick INSTALL, and let it make an NTFS partition and format it.

If you really really want the old crap from Windows 98, you can simply pick INSTALL on that partition, but you would be missing out on the advantages of the NTFS file system. So make BACKUPS instead.

By the way, I really hope that you have 128MB of RAM at least. It will be slower. You should have at least a 10GB drive. But try not to use too much more than half of your drive.

If you need more RAM. look up your system at http://www.coastmemory.com. They will sell you something that WORKS!
