The speakers are a logitech 5.1 surround sound but at the moment 3 of the 6 r working. Do i need to buy a audio sound card because at the moment its intergrated.Thanks peoples i appreciate your answers

(It's a compaq). It's not the battery because I use it plugged in. When I start up my laptop, it works fine- for like around 30 minutes. Then all of a sudden, it just "shuts off" or crashes! No warning signs or error messages. The wierd thing is that you can just turn it back on and it'll work just fine again- until the next 30 minutes or so. Some things seem to make it crash sooner like playing games. Once it shuts off, the sooner I restart it- the less time I have before it crashes again.
It seems to run the longest whenever it has been off for a while, like first thing in the morning; or if I'm not playing any games. Things like Limewire and games seem to give me the least time before the computer goes out COMPLETELY.
I tried removing programs that have viruses, ect...But nothing seems to work.
I know little about computers, so I would apprectate it if you'd use layman's terms that are easily understood...(not stuff like "system configuration" or "defragmentation...)

I Receive quite a few e-mails that have been forwarded with numerous e-mail addresses that preceed the actual e-mail and some that do not have a forwarded address in between the forwarded e mails. I am not a seasoned (computer) operator. So you will have to explain it step by step, so I can print it and follow the steps. Thank you.

while trying to make a yahoo home page and add contents it just froze with only half a page and won't delete and i can't x it out. i can't get it to move anyway, it is just stuck there. i was using one of the purina dog backgrounds and adding content when this happened, how do i unstick the page from being frozen so i can add contents and complete my hoome page ? I am unemployed disable vet, i.e., I don't have the money or resources to buy another computer, add memory, etc. But, I NEED to get a Decent&Recent word processor improvement/upgrade from MS Works 2000 ver.5.

I'm disabled trying to find work. My Resumes, etc are Yahoo MS Word attachments I need to revise to submit to perspective employers, who request documents in MS Word. EVERYONE uses MS Word. MY OS is Win 98 SE with MS WORKS 2000 version 5 Word Processor. Hard Disk Capacity of 7.85GB with 127MB RAM; IBM PC/AT; CPU Pentium Pro. HELP!!!!!!!

I feel like I'm dead in the water. I searched for free Adobe Acrobat so I might PDF; can't find it. I can't upgrade from Win 98 SE to Word 97 or anything else; no funds (even minimal) to purchase a freaking disc/license. ANY suggestions Please. I NEED to get back to work.
