Which is your preferred search engine and why?

Uhm depends on what I am looking for.
Yahoo for music/entertainment and catagory browsing
Google for Images, maps, satellite images etc..
Ask for simple question based search
and the latest I have been digging is Vivisimo which divides based on content.

I like Yahoo for all around.. But have to admit that Google has lately been my choice for quick searches. That and the old Yahoo commercial with the yodeling.. YaaaaHooooo really grated on my nerves.

yahoo is great but not for search. I use google because of its ideology to bring together all the information in one place. And because everytime i use the firefox google search. Mozilla gets money.

From all of my websites, and I manage many, Google is KING. Over 70 percent of the visitors find my sites through Google. Yahoo is a distant 2nd place.

Yahoo for most because the title page has news and links etc. Google for maps, and can handle harder requests. Alta Vista for translations...

Faster by far. More pertinent results. Can search by category.

well acctuly google is number 2 and yahoo is number3 the one you should have is ask jeves its the best one i am not sure if i spelled it right but ask jeves is number1
