The public beta has been released. What did you think?

I will upgrade from XP to Vista but not any time soon. I will probably get it 1 or 2 years after vista is released and when it is stable.
Vista offers not only eye candy but alot of features as well.I did try the public beta and was quite impressed. Previous versions of windows lack a lot of features that are in vista.
1. When I was installing vista ,I got to see the partition manager in vista which is much better than the one provided in the xp setup disc. It is both easy to use and has lot of options.
2. Vista offers backup and recovery like no other version of windows has. This means you don't have to go buying software to entirely backup yur harddrive as microsoft already has the features available.
It may be costly but it certainly is well worth yur money unlike some other OSes which claim to be better and do not help you in time of truoble.

I doubt it, I'm using Windows 2000 still - I don't approve of the intrusiveness of XP and Vista. I may switch to Linux full time or get a Mac...I need either Windows or Mac to be able to play WoW tho :p.

Nope, I'm going to keep rolling with XP Pro with the Vista skin, atleast until Microsoft can make Vista appeal to me.

.i'll wait at least 1 year.gotta wait for the bugs to get out cause you know 1 month after release they will have vista 2.0.

I'll probably wait about a year or two, then get it. I'm happy enough with my xp for now.

I probably will.
I just can't stand to not have the latest. I may wait a couple months for it to be debugged.
