and you didn't realize it until the last second? In the middle of rush hour, I was at a light to turn right at a 3 way intersection. I looked to the left, and thought I was clear to go, and I went, and realized that I had cut in front of a car...that wasn't the scary part...this guy leans out of his window while driving past me, screaming at me, and luckily I didn't hear him, and luckily there was no accident. But it makes me think about road rage and risky driving. I used to yell obscenities at people whenever they cut me off, mostly because I was furious that someone would try to put my life in danger, but honestly, you don't know who you are dealing with on the road anymore. And it's making me wonder, am I the only one that feels bad about accidentally cutting someone off? Or am I just still freaked out about it? All I know is, I'll never yell at any other drivers like that guy did to me.

Would the ride not be as smooth?
Wouldn't it be more safe than risking blowups?

Why do drivers make things so complicated for themselves on the road. The rules are clearly outlined in the Highway Code. They are not hidden or encrypted. If everyone drove accordingly the traffic would flow much more smoothly and driving would be a pleasure.

It doesn't take a PhD to know that.

Driving is the one single thing you will perform where you will require the use of all your senses to work harmoniously and to be fully concentrated on the task.

Who's at fault? It is in Alberta. Location of accident is in a parking lot with a restaurant. Vehicle A is proceeding around a corner from the north side turning onto the west side to proceed south. Vehicle B is coming from opposite direction. They collide on the northwest corner of the building. Who is at fault? Who's insurance should pay. Police say it is no fault parking lot accident but they were not called to the scene. One of the insurance companies states fault on other driver. Please site legal answers and where I can find them on the net!

I ride endurance with my horse and often I have to deal with cars if I want to ride anywhere. I have reflective bands for my horse and a headlight for myself (but it gives me a headache after an hour).

Where can I find items that I could wear (or I could attach w/ easy removal on my horse's tack) that would really let people in the driver's seat know I'm there...? Something that doesn't need to be practically glued in order to be secure.

(If I could make a 2000w metal halid lamp work on a 900 pound horse...Now, that'd be one hell of a spotlight) lol. ;)

I hate clearing ice of my car in the morning, sometimes I use hot water but know this can be dangerous ,I've heard you can buy some sort of spray foam which you spray on your windscreen the night before and it stops ice forming on it over night - anybody know what this stuff is called and is it pricey to buy?

Some guy hit my car two weeks ago, after hitting a cop first! he blew like a .1 something or other, breathalyzer, had an expired license and no insurance, AND he tried to take off.
I only have the lowest possible liability insurance, because Im only twenty and I've had speeding tickets and full coverage is outrageoulsy expensive. So they wont fix the big dent on the side of my car.
My only option is to sue the guy and I have no clue how to go about it.

But suppose you are going the highway and you see this big accidnent with glass and plastic all over the road. Bumpers torn off, windshileds and mirrors are shattered... Who takes care of all that? Vultures only eat animals, and I have yet to see a goat on the road..(ha ha!)

Does any body know if it’s standard for the other person car insurance company to know the social security number of the not at fault person?

Also, can they deny paying all the medical bills for the accident?

Thanks for your inputs.

Last night I was driving and I didn't even accelerate very much out of the curve. The pavement was dry but my car started fishtailing very violently. It was almost impossible to regain control (at least for me). Do you guys/girls know of any mechanical or structural modifications to reduce fishtailing? I think I've heard of rear-end strut bars or something like that. Maybe a suspension re-tuning? And also where can I get those changes done and for what price ranges? Any tips to correct fishtailing when it happens?

I see this all the time, and I just want to get out of my car and knock on their window and ask, "Why are you stopping a full car length or more behind the person in front of you?"

I mean, yes, it's a good idea to leave a few extra feet, so you can turn out of the lane if you need to, or in case a novice driver in front of you accidently puts it in reverse. But you've all seen it! Some people stop a full car length or more behind. There's gotta be a reason they do this. If you are one of those people who do this, please tell us why!
