My driver side mirror broke so i put a little one on.till i can get it fixed. Does anyone know the rules about this???

In California, you MUST have a center mirror and a driver side mirror. A right side mirror is not required, but all manufacturers install them.

i broke a mirror and as a temporary measure i taped a mirror over the wreckage of the damaged mirror.was stopped at a 'routine' stop and the officer almost gave birth to a buffalo calf when he seen it, but finally let me go

In Texas,no problem...not sure about other states....stop at an inspection station and ask the technician on duty.
