I've just been wondering this for quite some time now...

If you are driving in the fast lane and a cop pulls out behind you and signals for you to pull over, should you pull all the way over to the right shoulder or just pull over to the left shoulder?

I have never been pulled over, but I tend to drive in the fast lane on my way back from work, as my exit is a left hand exit and it's hard to get over from one side of the highway to the other. So if I ever get pulled over, I'd like to know the proper etiquette.

Survey...

1) When you see a sign saying the speed limit is a certain value, say 55, how fast do you drive? What if it says 65? 35? Why?

2) How fast (in miles per hour above or below the posted speed limit) do you consider the fastest legal speed limit? Why?

3) If you drive faster than your answer in #2, why?

4) What does the term "speed limit" mean to you? Why?

5) (optional) In what general area do you live?

Thanks!

My brother was doing 60 in a 40 zone. I told him to slow down, but he yelled at me. He was driving a big car too... And there were other people in the car whose lives he was risking. I don't care if he speeds when he is driving on his own, but with other people it is so irresponsible.

Was I justified in telling him to slow down?

At the toll when I threw the change some of it fell down and I did not know how much fell in the collector and how much fell on the ground. I did not have another change also. So I left the toll without paying the exact amount. Does some one know what I can do at this time?

You are in a 30 zone. I must catch him up and sit in his boot he thinks. These people are now allowed to mug you on the road. So why don't we have derestricted speeds on the roads so that as there will be so many accidents, fatalities, injuries & damage to vehicles & property that the insurance costs will drive us all off the roads. Obviously 30 to some drivers has nothing to do with speed in MPH. If this was Kilos then is 48 Km/H. Should they be retested?

I have a 1997 olsmobile Aurora my wife was driving the car when a fire started under the hood of the car.
They found the problem to be the fuel injector spraying gas on the engine.
would the fuel line going bad cause this problem with the injector?

I saw this woman cutting in front of a diesel as she was trying to merge into traffic. There plenty of space behind the diesel. But for some reason she wanted to move in front of it. Then she got mad because her lane had ended and she was still trying to get ahead of the diesel. The diesel slowed down and then she had the nerve to flip him off.

Didn't she realize that diesel's can't physically stop on a dime? That one bump of the truck and her little bitty foreign car goes flying into the next lanes.

And then it occured to me that maybe because she's a woman...not because of her gender specifically, but because of her size. Bigger men are expected to defer to the woman, give her a seat, open the her car door, hold the office door open...

Does this everyday expectation warp their sense of proportion? Sure the diesel is huge, but its 'supposed' to let her in because she's a woman...is that her expectation?

Do woman just expect this treatment from men period and not realize it
