Depending on where you are,,roadway,,or bridge,,it would probably be safer to remain with the vehicle.
At least you have some steel separating you from imminent danger.

Continue on your journey. Any earthquake strong enough to throw you off the road will never happen in a million years.

Normally when you are driving in a car you don't feel the earthquake unless it is a major strong one that usually does serious damage.
