Can they just use their laser speed guns anywhere or is it only at certain sites. My local force has published their safety camera scheme sites on their website. This basically states all the locations were police will try to detect speeding offences. However last night police were operating a speed gun on a site that is not listed on their website as a safety camera location. Can they use their cameras anywhere

My daughter thinks people over 65 need to be tested every two years. I'm not so sure. What do you think to mandatory testing of older drivers?

some **** pulled out a junction and crashed into the side of my mums car and she has suffered whiplash. she also fears she will be too scared to drive again after the accident (second time in 6 months and neither were her fault).

what is the best way to claim compensation for the whiplash?? is it a guaranteed payout?? she was taken to hospital in an ambulance and they have confirmed whiplash.

also is there any way to claim loss of earnings from the accident?? she is a personal trainer so will be off work for a coupld of weeks.

also can claims be made for the psychological damage due to being in a car crash?

thanks

My husband and I have been debating where the safest spot in our car is for our child. Is it the middle, left or right side? We own a minivan I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not though.

The more fatal road accidents I hear about in the news I can't help but think this would be good idea. Half the drivers out there are too thick to spell everyday words, but are in charge of a vehicle that can travel at speeds of 0-130mph!

Hi all,

OK I've seen another similar question to this, but it's something which I've been debating with my father, and I think he's actually right on this.

So, is it acceptable to keep all documents (MOT certificate, insurance certificate, counterpart licence) at home, and of course keep accident forms in the car?

Cheers!

I fyou have read any of my questions before you may know that I am partially sighted and therefore can't drive.

I have heard lots of talk that women drivers are really bad and you shouldn't get into a car if a woman is driving. Is there any truth in this?

I have found this song about it. Is there any truth in this?

How about people who drive slowly in the left lane? People who tailgait YOU when your following behind a truck or slow car? People who don't use turn signals and don't care if you have to wait for them? Trucks that take an eternity to pass while in the passing lane?

Do you like these people? Are you one of these people?

I was in an at fault accident this morning. I collided with the back of a honda CRV in my Chevy Malibu. He had a tire on the back of his car so I didn't hit the car. Visually it looks like there is not damage but I;m not a mechanic I don't know. Well...

This man seems to want an excessive amount of information. He's asked me for my Driver Liscense #, A copy or fax of my insurance card. Shouldn't he just need the Policy Number, the Liscense plate #, and my name? Am I being a little too causious? Sence to accident was at low speed, 5 mph or under, I offered to pay his estimate without him going through insurance, he seemed to agree but is still E-mailing me for information.

How Much information is Nessecary?

And Could he be trying to steal my identity or scam?

Please help.

This is a serious question, I'm not having a go at anyone. Why do you use a phone while driving, out of all the phone calls you make/ recieve, can't they just wait until you have pulled over? The main reason I ask is I've just seen a driver go through a busy junction with the phone in thier left hand, changing gears with thier right hand. That means no hands on the wheel! Why are we so compelled to answer a phone while driving, especially as hands free kits are easy to get and usually come with the phone when you buy it these days. This is a serious question, I'm genuinly interested in why people do this.

From the simple "Stop!" sign, through speed-cameras to the latest poster campaigns, are drivers now so bombarded with information that they are now unable to concentrate on safety?
