I am so tired of seeing people taking advantage of these parking places. I don't think i have EVER seen someone get out of a car parked in a handicap place that REALLY needed it. Most of the people that i see are young and in a hurry to get into the store. I don't think being old is a reason either. All have the tag but NONE are HANDICAPPED!!!!! So, who else thinks it's TOO easy to get a tag?

My two kids - are 5 and 7, both sit in belt-positioning booster seats. There are no seats in the RV that have shoulder belts. Where is the best place for the kids? Are lap belts enough? Should they even be traveling in the RV? Traveling would take place primarily in SC, GA and FL.

Today my car suddenly turns off while I was idling behind a stop sign. So I moved the gear to park (from Drive) and started the car and it worked. So what happened to it ? I just replaced my battery like about a year ago.

Two separate questions:
1. Turning right on red: you should yield to incoming traffic, right?
2. Changing lanes in an intersection: is it LEGAL?

Does anybody know where I can find written proof: driving test booklet, online, etc?

Thanks

I drive the prescribed speed limit on most freeways in California (65mph) yet I'll see cars zooming past me. What's the point of the speed limit if no one ever follows them?

I just read a news article regarding an 84 year old woman who ran her car through an elememtary school cafeteria and killed an 8 year old boy. This story really disturbs me. I feel horrible for the parents. Even though the elderly woman is to blame, I feel that the state should be just as responsible. I'm sure this woman within the past few years renewed her license simply by just doing an eye exam. Never not once does the state take into consideration that the drivers exam she took in 1949 is outdated. Or that her health is not good enough to handle a vehicle. A couple of years back my family had to take my 79 year old grandfathers vehicle away. After 3 accidents (within a month) and sending 4 people to the hospital, one was a baby, the family agreed it was best. It was a fight but had to be done for his own safety. I understand that retesting is costly and bothersome, but if it saves lives. I don't know, I just feel that this accident could/should have been avoided.

Now that we (we, being the responsible drivers that use our turn signals) fix the problem of drivers that don't use their turn signals when they're supposed to? It's a very frustrating problem and perhaps there's a solution out there.

Why my Mercedes Benzes airbags never came out !!!!!?
I was involved in a terrible car accident with my parents in our 2003 Mercedes Benz E240. The pickup hit us on the right backdoor where I was sitting. I mean this car has 8 airbags and none of them even came out. As the pickup, which was was speeding over the speed limit hit us the the car spun around and ironically hit a Mercedes Benz tow-truck which was parked illegally on the stop street. Its supposed to be parked 5m (16 feet)
from the stop sign. We never saw the stop sign because it was obstructed by the towtruck, and the stop sign markings on the road was completely nowhere to be seen. The pickup hit me on the backdoor the car spun around and hit the towtruck, not even a single airbag came out. The theory goes that ur supposed to have ur safety belt on before the airbags comes out. What if u accedentally dont have them on theyre still supposed to come out. I didnt have mine on but my parents did and the front and side airbags never came out either. Now im partially paralyzed !!!!!

I work for a transportation company that hauls railroad crews and we have several backing accidents each year. I am looking for a slogan for not backing up if it can be prevented. Something that ties in with the railroad is prefered.

mostly due to speeding. And most of the time the driver lives and the rest of the passengers die but either way it's so sad. What do you think needs to be done about the high rate of fatal teenage accidents?

And yet another innocent dies by the senior driver-and an innocent 8 yr. old. What should be done to prevent this? Should they have limited liscenses? At what age should theiy re-test? Should families
be held liable if they noticed mom or pop getting a little confused and not taking their liscense away? Should doctors be liable? Who's to blame, the seniors won't admit they have a problem. ( in most cases) I know that most are OK, but for those stubborn ones what can be done?
