If a passanger litters does the driver get busted?

the litter bug is the one who gets the ticket (if they are adults
otherwise I think the driver would)

If the person that threw out the litter is over 18 , they get the ticket. If litter bug is under 18 the driver or owner of the car gets the ticket.

Assuming one is actually caught littering, it depends on what the officer sees. Generally, the driver is responsible for the safe behavior of his/her passengers, and will get ticketed if the officer saw litter fall from the car but can not determine who actually tossed the trash. However, if the officer actually SAW the passenger doing the littering, the passenger will likely get the ticket & fine.

In Penna. if the passenger throws rubbish out the window, and the operator is the owner of the veh. the owner is responsible for the actions of their passenger and is also liable for a fine, No rubbish or anything to be thrown on a roadway

It dont matter who through it out you get busted it sucks but its true.
