Most of the world's problems could be vanquished if there were no big trucks on the road. Will they ever finally be outlawed, as they should?

This is just an observation, but I get taxis everyday, and not one of the taxi drivers that pick me up ever wear seat belts! I wont get in a car unless I can use a seatbelt, I think its really stupid to put yourself at risk unneccessarily. Also, isnt it illegal?? So... my question is whether taxi drivers are exempt from the laws surrounding wearing seat belts? And even if they are, why the hell dont they wear seat belts?! They're in the car all the time, and therefore surely more likely to have an accident...?!

my children attend primary school the traffic is shocking people park on the pavement cars do not give consideration to the young children crossing the road and do not let them cross
parents seem more concerned at droping their children off or picking them up and the drive away as quickly as possible to get where ever they are going
how wuld you sort this problem out if you had the power to make lasting changes ?

What is it that causes people to drink and drive? And even more... Why don't the bartenders just take the keys as soon as you walk in the door? Why must they just serve them over and over? My vehicle was wrecked earlier this week because of a drunk driver... Why must they do this?

The neighbor boy is constantly crashing his bike into our vehicles and now my car has huge scratches in the driver's door. We spoke to the parents and they told us to bad. We have to prove it and they refuse to pay for the damages. The Grandmother cussed my husband out. We did not see him but the handle bars match the same height and everything of the scratches. This is the second time this has happened in 1 month. I don't feel I should have to foot the bill for just having my car parked. What do I do with this because it is basically a prove it situation even though we know he is the one that did it?

A teen age girl called me this morning , she had just gotten in an accident on the way to school , was crying & felt so sad . I hurt so much for her .
Please drive safe & watch the other drivers , we've lost enough teens . It isn't always the falt of the teens that cause our teens to get hurt & worse

What do you think ?

straddling the centre white line in the road, travelling at 22mph, and eventually pulled into the side of the road with no indicator and stopped on a sharp bend causing havoc. Would you have given her a "pass" on her driving test?

What do you think? Maybe I have an anger problem, but it really irks me when people slam on their brakes at the end of a freeway onramp, because they are too scared to speed up and merge in, even when there is room. Isn't the appropriate thing to do to look and see if any cars are coming, pick a spot, match speeds, and move in at the freeway speed?????? Why do people find this task so hard? Why am I forced to merge on at 25 because some idiot can't figure out how to drive?

I think that the woman who turned left on to a railway line because her satalite navigation system told her to (yeah!!) should be banned from driving for life and most definately locked away in to a secure unit for the rest of her life.

She is clearly not capable of making a sensible decision and is obviously not safe to be let out on her own, ever again!

Anyone agree?

(Before you jump on to the band wagon, this is not a dig at women drivers either, I would say the same if it was a male driver)

Basically, next to our building in Leeds there is a bit of dual that the BMW garage uses as an acceleration and show off test track for people test driving their tin cans. It's noisy and dangerous.

I was toying with the idea of reporting them to the old bill.

What do you think?

when i lived in Cali i know when going through places like Donner Summit through the mountains of the Sierra Nevadas you had to use snow chains to get through the snow on the highway if the pass was open. My friend who lived in Reno, Nevada said that his parents would use chain style products for their tires for driving in the snow around town. I moved here to MN a year ago now and have spent 2 winters here in LOTS of snow. We dont use chains here at all. Is there a reason for this? What is the purpose of chains? Why are they used in other places and not here?

Today's inflammatory question:

Based upon my observations, as recently as today where a woman made a left turn and ran smack into a guard rail median divider, I wonder if women are more prone to running into stationary objects. I see countless photos of women driving over parking garage barriers, through wet cement, and into buildings. What gives? Do nationalities contribute to the issue? In my experience, older Asian women are the absolute worst drivers.

Not that we men are great or flawless, but at least our tendency is to hit moving objects - that at least takes skill! ;)
