I am still in crutches but can drive with an airboot, but is it against the law in texas?

A lot of people with disabilities, temporary or permanent, can safely drive vehicles. Generally the medical prohibitions apply to people prone to seizures, but even they can usually be licensed if shown to be controlled by medication. DMV would give you the best information.

No. But it is against the law to walk with a driving boot.

I don't see why it would be. When I had something similar a while back, I was getting around on a motorcycle with it on - you should be fine.

I would call the Texas DMV. It is not illegal in Ohio.
