Ah. I am so glad you explained this. So, big trucks on the road are responsible for most of the world's problems...we would have no wars, no poverty, no illnesses, no pollution, no crime, no cruelty - all we need do is banish big trucks.
Wow, that is great! So, how large must the truck be? 18-wheelers? double/triple bottoms? hmm...how about 1 ton pickups...they get to be fairly large. Maybe we could outlaw "minivans;" I don't much like them or their drivers. I know, let's just outlaw everything other than shoe leather. Perhaps that would vanquish whatever problems remain after the trucks are outlawed.

If large trucks were banned how on earth would goods be transported to the stores. How would you receive your building supplies, groceries, clothes etc. These items do not magically appear on the store shelf they need to be transported from the rail yards somehow.
What needs to happen is the general public needs to be educated a little more on trucks. For starters they do NOT stop on a dime so if you decide to pull out in front of one, be prepared to step on the gas and get the hell out of the way.
Truck drivers are restricted by hours of service regulations that they have to follow. If they do not they face termination and a huge fine. Possibly jail time as well if they are at fault for an accident.
In many places trucks are restricted to the roads they are allowed to travel on as well as lane restrictions.
Drivers of cars need to have a little courtesy for those big trucks that are hauling our goods for our consumption.

think about this idiot,if you have it ,it came by truck, food ,fuel ,cloths ,furniture ,building supplies ,and on and on,the only thing that missed the truck was your brain
for the person that thinks trains are better ,just think they dont go everywhere, trucks still need to pick up and deliver to trains, they are slower 15 to 30 days to do what a truck can do in 15 hrs.yes they carry more but will you put up with sitting for hrs every week at crossings because of the extra train traffic

Should [little gits who think they're above all] be banned?
Most of the world's problems could be vanquished if there were no [little gits who think they're above all] on the road. Will they ever finally be outlawed, as they should?

You're completely wrong. I'm a truck driver and I can tell you the overwhelming majority of truck drivers are highly skilled professionals. However, one thing I have noticed is that when some people are around a large truck on the road, they tend to drive like total morons.

Yes, the only thing big trucks do is bring food, water, building supplies, medical equipment, entertainment items, and several other things we need as human beings. why should we allow trucks to be on the road when all their doing is delivering almost everything we use...like that computer you used to write this.

wow.. you're an idiot. the heavy trucks provide what the trains used to and on occasion still do. they carry cargo like food and supplies and the heavy trucks do the same thing, going from warehouses to stores. if it weren't for these trucks you'd not have anything in your house or apartment.. and perhaps not even a place to live... no car to drive. no computer to surf the web... nada..

I think we could cut down on the trucks if trains were used more. You would only need the trucks for moving stuff from the train depot to the store.
