I think that the woman who turned left on to a railway line because her satalite navigation system told her to (yeah!!) should be banned from driving for life and most definately locked away in to a secure unit for the rest of her life.

She is clearly not capable of making a sensible decision and is obviously not safe to be let out on her own, ever again!

Anyone agree?

(Before you jump on to the band wagon, this is not a dig at women drivers either, I would say the same if it was a male driver)

I read about some abulance drivers that drove 8 hours in the wrong direction when they were trying to get the the hospital. 8 hours!!! How did they not stop and think "Um we should have been at the hospital already"?????
An ambulance driver should already know how to get to any hospital they need to, without relying on a navigation system!

Lots of stories about this stuff. I think those systems can be really helpful, but people have to remember to drive! And driving involves thinking.....Maybe they are keeping their eyes on the navigation system and not watching where they are going.

Goes to prove that drivers rely too much on their sat nav instead of common sense.

Yes, I can't add to that. Maybe people like her should be given a satnav that tells them to drive over a cliff - job done.

Yes, that woman is stupid, but so is anyone else who blindly follows any navigation program...

it is a GUIDE, not the way you have to take...
