I am looking to purchase my first motorcycle and I came across this 1993 Yamaha XJ600 Seca II with 18,000 miles. It started right up. New front & rear tires, New battery. Looks good. But my question is 18,000 miles on a motorcycle worth buying? The person wants $1,000.00. I am pretty sure I will buy it. I just would like some information from some people who know motorcycles. I do not know much about them at all. All I know is I want one.

Thanks everyone!

I wish to buy one GOOD bike.

Different Competitors are claiming their bikes to be the good by advertising and claiming the best technology such as DTS1, F1, etc. but ultimately all are providing the same average of around 60-65. If the technology is so refined then why not the average???

I have also gone thru Zeus under the brand umbrella of SUZUKI.. Can anyone guide me is it worth buying.

As all the bikes are just fooling the customers by impressing some new words and new technologies. Can anyone guide me what are worth components to seriously look into a bike before buying idle for Delhi road conditions.

Is anyone also aware of any upcoming new 125cc models in the near future.

Eagerly waiting for my Sailor to guide me thru this oceanful of technolgies and competitors.

I believe the v rod is water cooled, but wondering when they are going to advance this to their other bikes. Love my Harley, but could do without the extreme heat!

I have an 2005 Road King and want to convert. Actually my mind is made up. The shop said it can be done. He said however more dirt will be thrown around under the saddlebags. Somebody I know said the chain and sprockets will wear out every 20,000 miles. I don't believe that, I know with a little maintanance it will go a LOT longer.

Thus device consists of separate two aluminium frames that go around the wheels and has three "pins" used somehow to line things up. They were made about 30 years ago.

I'm looking to buy a motorbike. I'm 25 and rode a 125cc for about a year when I was 19, but haven't been on one since. I'm keen on a sports tourer as I do a lot of travelling at the weekends, and I'd also use it to commute into London. I've heard that the Suzuki GSK600F is a decent ride, but I'm not sure if there's anything better. Really it needs to be cheap to run & insure, reliable, and fairly quick (but I'm not too bothered about that at the moment - I can always get a bigger bike in the future). I've got my CBT, lessons, and kit sorted so it's just the bike to get. Any ideas?
