-Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. I don't know what a thunder bird is.
-If it's a sport bike you can do some external mods, steering dampener - rear sets - steel braided lines - high performance brake pads - different tires - slip on muffler.
-If it's a carburated bike - jet kit - free flow air cleaner.
-I never recommend electrical modifications. Stock is best.
-If you want it modified for drag racing - port & polish head - over size valves - different weight fly wheel - nos - air shifter - under cut gears - slipper clutch. Any motor stuff, consult a motorcycle racing shop.

You only know your tastes ,isn't it ?
Go to the concerned shop first .Now they are in plenty that you will find such shops in every town .
