I am looking to purchase my first motorcycle and I came across this 1993 Yamaha XJ600 Seca II with 18,000 miles. It started right up. New front & rear tires, New battery. Looks good. But my question is 18,000 miles on a motorcycle worth buying? The person wants $1,000.00. I am pretty sure I will buy it. I just would like some information from some people who know motorcycles. I do not know much about them at all. All I know is I want one.

Thanks everyone!

If this is your first bike then it's a good choice. But if your really interested in it take it to a Yamaha shop for a check out first. Expect to pay $50-150.00 for this service but well worth it if you don't know how to do it yourself. Fair price for this bike. Nice bikes but not much power; that said a great beginners bike. move up to a faster bike after you learn the mechanics of how to ride. Remember that your brain must be connected to your right hand EVERY time you ride or you'll end up another statistic. Happy riding !

appears like a solid determination for a well-recognized motorcycle, with sufficient skill to maintain up on the throughway yet no longer sufficient to be complicated. If the engine, chain, and sprockets are in solid shape, i might fee it at $a million,2 hundred. i does no longer advise using it with a sparkling rear tire and wiped out front tire in any respect; get that tire replaced ASAP. One style new tire and one ok worn tire will do humorous issues to a motorbike's coping with.

Sounds like a great deal. I paid that much for a bike with considerably more miles.
