I need to know what the engine is in this old I/H, it's probably a 345, but I don't know. I'd like to find out where the ID numbers are and what they mean.

I have a couple rust spots on my car that I have matching paint for from the car dealer, and it's requiring the rust to be primed before using the paint. Is there special car paint primer or can the same primer be used as you use on your walls inside your house? If there is such a thing as car paint primer, would I be able to get it at AutoZone or a place like that?

2000 Mailbu was running great. Oil light went on last weekend. Lots of banging and knocking. Oil dipstick was full. We replaced the oil pump (big project) and the knocking sounds are still there. My dad thinks it has something to oil pump drive. We can't figure out how to remove the oil pump drive... is it under the manifold? Is it behind the engine? Thanks in advance for any help. (And, yes, I do come back to read the answers.)

I have a 2001 Honda CR-V SE. A couple of months ago it started idling low and a couple of times on the freeway it was jumpy...
Soon after that, the engine check light came on. I went out and purchased an OBD-II code reader and SW... The code I got was P0172 - Fuel Trim Too Rich (Bank 1).

I did a freeze frame and this is what I got:
Short Term Fuel Trim - Bank 1: 1.6%
Long Term Fuel Trim - Bank 1: -16.4%
Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure: 80kPa
also some other readings (speed, rpm, load value, coolant temp, etc... which don't seem to important)

1. Does anyone know what causes the fuel trim to be too rich?
2. Does anyone know where I can get the specs for all the sensor readings for the car so I can see what is in spec vs. out of spec?

Your help will greatly be appreciated...

The battery died from sitting all winter, so I did the logical thing, jump started it. She was pretty reliable and started right up. I let it run for 15 min or so then hopped in for a ride around the block but when I went to turn the heat on, the whole thing died, shut right down, no lights, nothing? What went wrong? HELP!

Can I get a time estimate to replace a water pump on a 1983 Nissan Sentra? I'm trying to calculate the cost of the repair separate from the part. Thanks.

Also, time to replace a battery and the end on one of the attachments to the post.

I'm wondering what could it be without spending an arm and a leg taking it to a dealer for something that might be as simple as an oil change?
