What is the black goo on my ignition key?

I had a new starter installed by the Toyota dealership 3 weeks ago. Now I have some kind of black either greese or gum or other "stuff" on my key and tightness when I insert the key into the ignition and when pulling out.
As if there is agum or pine sap in the igmition..

It could be a variety of things. It is not normal though I would take it back to the dealer. That is unacceptable from a dealership.

You better get back to that dealer and make him fix it. I don't know what they could have done but it ain't right.
