2 years ago i changed the distributor cap on my car (honda civic cx 1996) i wasent able to change the rotor (couldent remove the screw). Two days ago i had to change it again . When i removed the cap, i removed the first screw no problem, the second one broke off half way out (i dident use any force at all) the third one broke clean off just as i started removing it, i dident touch the rotor this time. I put the new cap on with only one screw holding it so i could get it to the garage. The mecanic was pretty busy and reluctenly took my car in. After looking at it he says he cant touch it, he says he will problably break the distributor housing if he trys to remove the broken screws or the rotor. He told me to use a couple of tie wraps to hold it in place (ya right). Fist Question is: does this sound right. Second question. How much will it cost me to change the whole distriburator.

I was driving my dads car today, when the check oil engine light came on, turns out it was VERY low on oil. I could not get in contact with my dad, but the car did have a Manuel, the Manuel said to use 5w-40, but I put in 10w-40 due to the fact I wasnt able to get anything else. I don't know if that is the regular oil used on the car, so what are the possible downfalls of using a different grade of oil than what is already in your car?

I was running down the highway and noticed that my temp guage was reading about 30 degrees hotter than normal then it would cool down to nomal and back up again repeatedly. My truck has always stayed right in the middle on the guage until now. Could this be a thermostat issue or something else??

One of my coolant pipes burst while driving down the highway spilling coolant all over the engine of my car. It dried and looks like salt water dried on my car. It appears to be deposits of white crusty stuff. I tried to clean it off with numerous engine cleaners, oil degreasers, etc, and none of them seem to do the trick. How do I effectively remove this stuff w/o wrecking my engine. Is using S100 Total Cycle Cleaner an option? Tell me what you think the best option is.

Every time I use the a/c or defrost in my truck, the engine clicks, and the rpms go down to between 0 and 1. It happens like every three seconds. It does not happen when I have the regular heat or air on.

So my original problem was my car started to drift to the left, and had to hold to the wheel to the right to maintain a strait path. I switched the two front tires and it started drifting the other way. Well two tires and 100$ dollars later, the problem is still not fixed. However today, then i was getting my 2nd tire put on i noticed something out of place, i took a closer look and saw that the rim was bent in one spot. I asked the employee if that's a problem and he assured me not. If i take that rim off, and put my donut on, it runs fine. So am i to assume my bent rim is causing my car to drift to one side? Is this a known cause of this problem? And is there any way to find my particular rim to match my other 4?

This is a 99' Sebring convertible, by the way.
