I own a repair shop, and your mechanic is ripping you off. Anyone who knows anything about Yugos knows full well that there are no "fluids" in headlights. There is only ONE fluid. It is shared by both headlights. But he is right, if the stuff freezes, the light will not come out of the lamps until the bulb heater warms up.

Heck yes.....and for $39.99 it's a bargain. Do you have any idea what it costs to replace Yogo headlights ? I didn't change the Breaklight fluid in my 1982 Yugo and it cost me $5538.99 to get it ok again. While your mechanic is at it have him change the windshield too...the washer fluid will ruin it if you have a summer windshield still on....boy are they expensive...I know. All in all my Yugo has been a great little car, and my mechanic makes a good liveing off tgem....shoot he works on 3 that I know of and he drives a Corvette.

ok, you may want to anticipate to get diverse crap for believing that there is headlight fluid.. I had a instructor that joked about blinker fluid, and diverse the youngsters believe it too.. Made me snort because im into automobiles, yet I knew that there became no such component till now i became into automobiles even as i became like 12. there's no such component as headlight fluid, he would were joking and anticipated you to charm to close there's no such component, or he would have tried to stumble on a sucker and actual cost you for "headlight fluid" yet both way there's no such component. If a headlight is going out, replace it, and that is recommended to interchange both jointly, because the different one receives boring after a lengthy time period, yet diverse human beings dont replace 'em both so its notwithstanding you want. Headlight fluid does not make experience.. there's no fluid for lights at your residence, and they are both bulbs.. they artwork an same.

It is always a great idea to take out the summer air in your tires before winter as well. I know a guy here in PA who will do that for same price as headlight fluid change only $39.99. Ah hell I'll do both jobs for for $85 even , my friend.

Fast find another mechanic,or he is pulling you leg.Next time you see him ask if he can grease you brakes so they wont squall. Tell him while he's at it to check your turn signal fluid. If it's not in the owners Manuel, he is like i said pulling your leg or is a crook.
