unhook the hoses and use a water hose to verify it flows :)

There may be a air block in the system, and or a clogged heater core. to check the problem pull the top heater hose from the enginee side and the lower hoes from the heater core side. put a garden hose to the engin side hose, low pressure form garden hose If the water comes out the lower heater core then it may be a air pocket in the heater core.If there is an air pocket simply put back on the lower heater core hose and fill the upper one with water and re install tighten all clamps and replace as needed. Then run the truck till normal temp. If you still have no heat I would check the water pump for flow. The propeller may be worn out.

The cores on this model and year are NOTORIOUS for breaking. Look in your radiator when it is warm and make sure the thermostat is open....water will be circulating in the radiator. Does it have a block heater on it? If so, then the heater is probably plumbed incorrectly, otherwise, I would be checking the heater core. Maybe a clog in it. Have you used any Bar's leak or any other stop leak? That will clog the core up in a bad way. If the core is clogged, you can just boil it out and save the 200 bucks it costs for a new on. Yep, the cores in those trucks are 200 bucks. Good luck.

Check your vacuum, and "door operation" inside the heater!

sounds like you may have a vacum problem it could be in your dash or on the motor if you have hoses that are off , or broken it will cause a lot of stuff in your dash not to work right also check to see if you have some sort of valve on your heater hoses that could be not working anymore

heater water valve, or blend door broken. Your heat core could be blocked.
