Our engine light on 98 chevy s10 4 cyl. came on and said o2 sensor behind catalytic convertor.Turned it off and it came back on and read the same. We replaced it. 24 hours later it came on again. Auto zone read it as rocker arm with open circuit. Advance read it as the same o2 sensor we had just replaced. We recently had the rear seal and clutch replaced before all of this happened. The truck has 135,000 miles on it.

I specifically need just the rear half of my chassis. It has rusted and broken right where the bed meets the cab. So, I really could use the drawing and measurements of the raw chassis with locations of exact holes for the spring brackets and etc. Ford Ranger, VIN 1FTYR14CGWPA12088. Thanx a million!

with engine knowledge...yesterday I was under a 1/4 tank of gas - we have a Ford Taurus (unfortunately, it sucks - a 96). I put $20 in the tank. We've had financial issues lately and I've been putting the cheapest gas in. Anywy, the car ran ok for a bit without driving very far. This morning I got in the car and it is like sputtering and acting like it wants to stall at the light and all. Does this sound like I got some bad gas possibly or something more serious? I'm praying for some good answers - our only car left. If I did get bad gas, is there something I can do to correct it now or do I have to wait until I'm on empty again?

It makes that noise as the RPMs go up. Now it just crawls along and has trouble changing gears. Is it the alternator?

I was sold a drive shaft from advanced auto parts and I think it was .001 to .002 small is was not much. I am not really sure now as it has taken out the input guide/shaft holder. I dont know what to call it. The part in the transmission that holds the shaft.
When I put it in 5 months ago or so I did not feel the slop. that is why I say .001
What do I do now it has ruined my transmission. I have asked the neighbor next door (ase) certified, does he think it was my fault. He says no. I have also talked to another mech. Before I found out what the problem really was and he told me that they have had problems with the place I bought the shaft. They dont deal with them anymore.
I am almost 100% sure it was a manufacturing error. Has anybody had this problem and can I sue to have my transmission replaced?

something is draining the battery or the alternator, the lights where dim on the inside of the car before it shut off. And then8 hours later it started up again and drove for about 10 minutes or less before it died out again.

I hear somewhere that it's not good to shift your car from drive to nurtal while your car is running [or forexample crusing on a downhill]. I often times travel on this road where it is a downward stretch which you don't need to accelerate at all for about a whole mile. By switching into neutral for the moment, and then switching back into drive at 40mph a good idea? or will it completely **** up my transmision in the longrun

I have a Nissan Sentra '94,and It runs fine, but the problem mentioned happens at odd times, when I least expect it, but it sure is happening more often now(maybe twice a week) and when I try to start it turning the key, there's no noice( no click or anything) Also, the head lights are fine while it's happening. I've been told that it could be the ignition coil, or maybe it has something to do with one of the battery conections( could be corotion on the cable or wore out) anyone here who's a mechanic or had this problem before? Let me know what you think please.

I recently got the water pump replaced and the car over heated. I thought this was because of gunk in the radiator, so I got the radiator flushed out this week. The car STILL overheated though!!! When I stopped the car, I could hear bubbling from somewhere in the engine, but it is not the radiator. The bubbling was coming from somewhere over on the right of the engine. The car is a Mazda 121.

Ive seen a lot of episodes and about 95% of the time i think to myself...thats kinda dumb...does anyone else think that the pimping is a little outragous and would you like it if they did all of that stuff to your car...honestly, id be happy with a new paint job, some neons, a sound system and a tv. i wouldnt want 8 tvs, snakeskin interrior, sky/cloud paint. 8 subs and 12 more tv's in the trunk. what about you?...i guess you could always sell the stuff.

I plan on storing it for the next 3 years until my son turns 16. Hopefully at some point it will be indoors but for now will be outside. Keep in mind the cover won't be taken off very often if that makes a difference in your choice for best car cover. Security isn't an issue-just protection from the weather.
