Ive seen a lot of episodes and about 95% of the time i think to myself...thats kinda dumb...does anyone else think that the pimping is a little outragous and would you like it if they did all of that stuff to your car...honestly, id be happy with a new paint job, some neons, a sound system and a tv. i wouldnt want 8 tvs, snakeskin interrior, sky/cloud paint. 8 subs and 12 more tv's in the trunk. what about you?...i guess you could always sell the stuff.

I wouldn't let them touch my cars.
I watched a few shows that didn't seem to be too bad. I did wonder if they didn't throw a bunch of high dollar stuff into a couple of vehicles that were likely to blow the engines or have the transmission fall out the next week. Seemd a bit silly.
Then...they got gold of a girl's classic Mustang. My ears pricked up when they complained about finding wheels to fit even though the owner stated the car had a 302 V8 engine. They couldn't find wheels because whoever put the engine in neglected to upgrade the rest of the "six cylinder" car to V8 specs. V8 cars have better brakes and rear ends. They also have the VERY common 5 lug wheel pattern rather than rare and slightly oddball old 4 lug pattern.
Then they realized the floors were rotten. This is VERY common on old Mustangs. Replacement floor pans are available from anybody and everybody who claims to sell parts for old Mustangs. There are a LOT of these shops. Original quality replacement floor pans and repair sections can be had very cheap from many sources. The Pimp guys just took a piece a sheetmetal they had laying around and more or less jammed it into place on top of ther old rust. The proper method is to cut out the rot and weld in the replacement panel. It's not even all that hard, I learned to weld at the same time I replaced mine.
Running "six cylinder" suspension and brakes with a V8 engine is generally considered unsafe. Fixing rusty floors with whatever is laying around is just crappy. And the poor girl whose car it was surely knew no better and believed she ended up with a lot nicer car than it actually was.
I watched the rerun of that particular show to make sure I was seeing what I though I saw and never watched it again. I didn't want to see any more.

i opt to understand a similar element as I actually have a 1964 409 with air,pwr st,pwr brks,automobile an an SS with pwr homestead windows and in ordinary words 3 proprietors and it really is all there and unique motor and trans

IT would be totally sick and awesome to get my ride pimped like that. WOW!! I would settle for 8 tvs lol...
