2.1 volts per cell. A 6 volt battery has 3 cells, and a 12 volt battery has 6 cells. At full charge the battery should have a total or 12.45 to 12.6 volts.

battery voltage on a full charged battery is 12.6
there are 6 cells 12.6 /6=2.1 volts per cell

the batteries are charged between 13.5 and 14.5 to keep charged but that isn't the charge of the battery if you put a load of 25 amps on the battery for 30 seconds to remove static charge the voltage should be 12.5 on a good battery
if your planing on using one cell of a car battery good luck separating one out
