how come when gas prices go up, supply is no longer an issue ? The demand stays the same and there seems to be plenty for everyone.

There is no way to search from the company web site and they are not listed as "BP" when searching the Yellow pages.

Many traffic lights, especially in London, have a grill like a tiny, circular Venetian blind, across the glass. Why ?

Back in the 70s people were more inclined to purchase vehicles with better mpg due to rising gas prices. What has happened since then? Why have people decided that they need a 3 ton vehicle to drive one person around? Only an idiot would utter a sentence beginging with, "It cost me ___ to fill up my SUV". So? How is a person supposed to reply to this statement: At least you don't drive a Sherman tank; I don't care how little gas mileage your vehicle gets; You sound like a smoker complaining about the high cost of cigarettes; Well, buy some stock in an oil company, duh; Basically, you're stupid; In ten years you could have saved tens of thousands of dollars by improving your mileage, but you are too dumb; Have you checked your tire inflation, air filter, spark plugs lately; Maybe you should carpool, duh.

In our area, Southern California, we have carpool lanes that apply during high traffic times. Although, I believe that the solid double yellow lines are always to be obeyed, I am getting all different answers. There is always a solid white line on the inside of the lane, then double yellow lines on the outside. At some points there is a solid white line, then 2 sets of double yellow lines. Some people say, since there is a solid white, that means you can exit at any time, but can never enter except at the open entrance points. I happen to think that the white line means nothing as far as entering and exiting, that you are suppose to wait, whether it is high traffic time or not, to enter or exit at the designated openings. I have looked for these answers at the DMV website and it does not elaborate at all. Thanks in advance.

OMG whats going on with gas prices why do they keep going up. almost $4 a gallon thats outragous. its too expensive to drive anywhere and you have to drive to get to work and such everyday what are we going to do? I know i cant afford that. it seems like the rich keep getting richer and the poor keeps getting poorer. Im screwed when it comes to driving and i have a feeling im not the only one. even milk has gone up in price which really stinks! im really upset and freaked out this aint cool. is gas going to go back down or are they going to keep making it go up til no one can afford it except for the exceptionally wealthy. i have a feeling that the outcome of this isnt too good.

What are we going to do and how much is gas going to go up in price? is anything else going up?

Well i got an email quiet a bit back and I've basiclly done this from then on and i hope everyone else will do the same. For starters as most of you know EXxon and Mobile are the largest gas companys... What we should do is not by from these companys and force these companys to lower their gas prices because of all the customers they will be losing. In effect to this the other companys will have to lower their gas prices to compete with them. We should all keep doing this till the gas price in the companys reach around 1.50 or lower :P

I know that only cars with 45 MPG are eligible to use the HOV lanes with only one person in them, but which cars qualify? I'm pretty sure the Prius does, but any others?

By allowing gasoline prices to rise to astronomical prices, it will hurt the economy and place hardships on working americans who are now strained just to get to work. Also need to force oil companies to start building refineries.

I work for a fuel wholesaler. I watch gas prices every ten minutes. But I go to play golf and people are talking about gas prices will go to $4 a gallon. I can't find any documented facts on this. The highest average right now is 3.46 at the pumps. I guess it could go up but why do people make up this number. If you know a credible web site where it states this let me know.

Oil companies have been raking in record profits, and gas prices are still rising. When the majority of Americans are lucky to get a 3% raise in pay each year, how do we end up affording such high prices? Not to mention the fact that the higher gas prices also cause everything else to go up. Let's get a handle on this & make a limit of $2.00/gal.

Our councils seem to be full on supplying road blocks to stop our flow and decisions as to stop or giveway so if we have free will and used our feelings and knowing..with out being told when to stop or giveway without lights or signs ....there fore it would save a heck of a lot of monies and we would then be paying less rates..I am in the vicinity of Canada Bay and they are putting more humps and bumps , even just islands at the side of the road stops the flow ...of a once two lane traffic ...so what is the answer, also cutting down trees unnecessarily...this is our enviroment and it is an expression of us also ...thank you

People should tip auto transporters always, they don't get paid much and the are taking care of your car. Whether its a break down, or new car delivery, because for however many miles he has driven he has been concerned for the saftey of your vehicle. People commuting always cut in front of big trucks and brake or ride the shoulder to pass at onramps, or cut over three lanes to exit. Does anyone care that they are driving like complete idiots and are making traffic worse for everybody? Is anyone paying attention?

On approach to a roundabout with 2 lanes the one on the left is for going left or straight across and the one on the right is for turning right....why then do some drivers use the right lane for cutting you up and going straight across?
