The average American has to drive some and also cannot afford gas! If we do nothing about it will continue. In some countries, they pay less than 50 cents and in countries where some people are willing to throw their money away by driving suv's and gas hogs, they are raping us. What are we to do except unite and boycott?
Not just one day.
Boycott gas-don't drive

is anyone concerned? i can't believe that most of the questions on answers are about trivial things and not about what can we do about the price of fuel in this country

I always feel like I'm in a rush, and get headaches with people tailgating me. Why is eveyone in such a hurry? Do they think being 2 inches from your bumper is going to make the traffic ahead of you move? How do you feel when someone tailgates you - or are you a leisure driver and you aren't bothered by other drivers? Tell me tell me!

A gas boycott doesnt work when people are burning the same amount of gas with their own full tank. We need to bike or take public transportation when we live close enough to work.

I will be starting a new job soon and I have an hour long commute each way. I'm looking for ways to entertain myself during these long drives so that I don't go insane. Any ideas would be appreciated!

1) Why is it, that for a CONGESTION charge, if you have a low/ zero emmision car, you don't have to pay as much or anything?
Shouldn't it be a Low Carbon Charge?

2) Do people just pay the fare anyway? I was talkin to a taxi driver when we went down there (we live in Durham) and he said at the start it was quieter, but now people just pay it.
Is that right?

Gas prices are a joke, I am going to participate, who else will be joining the gas price protest? They say the last one reduced the gas prices by .30 cents. How long can people boycott, or reduce their fuel intake, to hurt the pocket books of the "Pinko, Commie, Bedwetting, Nazi, Gasoline Moguls?" The longer people can hold out, the more the prices should reduce? maybe.....
