we own a 2006 Scion XA and are not getting the Gas mileage that is advertised by Toyota! we have found noumerous ppl telling us the same story ! is anyone out there not getting the Gas mileage that is promised by Toyota but happening for ya?????

how come toyota in US doesnt offer the solar or plug in charging accessories on their hybrid here like the ones they sell in Japan?
it sure does give you more time to just use your electric motor to drive your vehicle out of parking lot before your engine kicks in.

I'm looking for a VERY reliable truck or SUV that gets very good gas mileage (over 20mpg) and can fit my Great Dane, Border Collie and 2 Rat Terriers...I currently have a very unreliable Dodge Dakota that gets 16-21mpg and it isn't working for me... any help is great Thanks

after they wear down, you can just bring them back in and get a new set for free if they dont show signs of wearing down incorrectly due to the rotors.. how good are the brakes and what are the pros and cons of buying those pads over toyota pads for the tacoma?

I'm looking at purchasing a used toyota pickup from it's owner. It has a clean title (checked by way of carfax), just over 100,000 miles, and comes with a cap. I'm going to take it to a mechanic to checkout prior to purchase to make sure everything is running alright. We have worked out a price of $2800. As far as I can tell by the research I've done, this is a good price. However, I have never bought a car before so I'm not totally confident.

I looked on the auto zone website for a distributor cap and rotor.
I have my choice between duralast (brandname), and beck arnley (brand name).beck arnley is considerably more expensive.

Duralast rotor -2.99, rotor cap 9.99 (+ or -)
beck arnley rotor -9.99, rotor cap 18.00

My truck is a "bone stock" service (I am an electrician) truck.I

There cannot be that big of a difference in the two rotors/caps.

what would you (all) recommend I do?

my corolla (AUTOMATIC) lags when i press the gas, when at a stop light i can floor the gas pedal and the car will take off, from the light at about 1mph, as the rpms rev up the car final shifts and starts moving, same problem when in traffic, once the car builds speed it is fine, on the freeway it rides fine at higher speeds 45+.
